Serving the Children of the World
Kiwanis International is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.
Serving Our Community Since 1949
The Kiwanis Club of McKinney Texas serves the residents of Collin County through youth programs, community service projects, and support of other charitable organizations.
We partner with: Meals-On-Wheels, Community Lifeline, Community Food Pantry, Salvation Army, Collin County Boys and Girls Clubs, McKinney Independent School District, McKinney Police Education, City of McKinney. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), MaineGait Horse Therapy, Collin County Children’s and Community Health Clinic, Challenge Air, The Texas Ramps Project, Habitat for Humanity and many other service organizations.
Our club was awarded Volunteer McKinney's 2014 Volunteer Group Award at the Spirit of McKinney celebration. The award is presented annually to a group of outstanding volunteers who have joined together in service to others as they contribute to a local nonprofit, cause or organization.
Our club also provides financial support for UNICEF and Kiwanis International's Eliminate Project
. The project seeks to eliminate maternal/neonatal tetanus, a disease that once killed nearly 60,000 babies and mothers each year.
We Did It!
As of 10/5/2015, our club raised $62,000, even more than the $60,000 we had pledged in support of the Eliminate Project. If you would like to help us protect even more lives in the developing world, you may make a donation below to add to our total.
Eliminate Progress Dashboard
Through the efforts of Kiwanis International and Unicef, Maternal Neonatal Tetanus has been eliminated in all but 21 countries. Kiwanis International has provided a dashboard page
